Ingredients
-
1.5 lb. Bone-in Ribeye Steak
-
1 tsp Olive Oil
-
Papou’s Majik Mix Greek Seasoning Blend
-
1 tbsp Butter
-
3 cloves of garlic
-
Thyme sprigs
-
Rosemary sprigs
Method
-
Bring the steak to room temperature - about 30 - 45 minutes before cooking
-
Heat a cast-iron or heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat
-
Brush olive oil onto the steak and season generously with Papou’s Majik Mix.
-
Place the steak, seasoned side down, into the hot skillet. Brush the top of the steak with olive oil and season generously with Majik Mix.
-
Let the steak sear for 5-6 minutes to develop a perfect crust
-
Flip the steak and let the other side sear for 5-6 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium and continue to cook, flipping often, until the desired temperature is reached. This can take approximately 12-14 minutes, depending on the thickness of your steak.
-
Once the steak reaches 135 degrees and is just about done, add the butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet. Baste the steak with the butter garlic sauce from the pan.
-
Remove from the heat and let the steak rest covered for 5 minutes before serving.
